BILL HALME, 68, of Colorado Springs died at home Thursday. He served in the Army 21 years and was discharged with the rank of sergeant first class. Mr. Halme later worked in civil service at the Air Force Academy before retiring.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Shrine of Rest Funeral Home, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., with the Rev. Warren Scandrett officiating. Inurnment will be at the Shrine of Rest Columbarium.
Mr. Halme was born July 16, 1920, in Owen, Wis., to Mr. and Mrs. Alex Halme. He had lived in Colorado Springs since 1964.
He was married July 12, 1954, in Berlin, to Frieda Antrick, who survives.
Mr. Halme is also survived by two sisters, Ingie Laakso of Wisconsin and Irene Pearson of Illinois; his stepmother, Maude Halme of Indiana; and his stepsister, Ruth Bower of Indiana.
