Raymond faithfully served his country in the United Stated Army during WWII. He was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church since 1954. Raymond was a career farmer and sold seed for Pioneer Seed Company for over 20 years. His family and farming were his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Frances Adelia (nee Hepplewhite) Poletti; brothers Peter II, Frank, Edward and Robert Poletti; and sister, Teresa Hecht.
Surviving are his wife DeLores (nee Thomas) Poletti whom he married September 10, 1949 at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Collinsville, IL; children, Ronald (Kathy) Poletti of Troy, IL, James (Sandy) Poletti of Wayside, IL, Steven Poletti of Collinsville, IL, Karen Camp of Troy, IL, Donna (Brad) Maes of Edwardsville, IL, Christina (Brian) Rehg of St. Jacob, IL and Brenda Poletti of San Francisco, CA; sister, Ilona Thomas; sister-in-law, Dorothy Poletti of Troy, IL; grandchildren, Amy (Jim) Ryan, Katheryn (Michael) Barton, Beth (Eric) Wolfmeier, Phil (Stephanie Lynch) Poletti, Jake Maes, Jeremy Maes, Jill Maes, Joseph Poletti, David Poletti, Bridgette (Michael Cruz) Rehg and Jason (Brianne Haggard) Rehg; great-grandchildren, Sophia Poletti, Thomas Ryan, DeLores Barton, Isabelle, George and Olivia Wolfmeier.
