Two former Louisvillians, on their way to their florida home from a visit here, were killed yesterday when a tractor-trailer overturned onto their car near Chattanooga.
They were Mr. and Mrs. James A. Kirk, Hialeah. Kirk was 69 and his wife was 60. They had spent a month with their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Morris E. Kirk of Farmer's Road near Fern Creek.
Mrs. Kirk said she was told that her father-in-law was driving up a hill about five or 10 miles south of Chattanooga when the tractor-trailer rounded a curve and overturned. It was raining at the time.

Mr. and Mrs. James A. Kirk moved to Hialeah two years ago after Kirk retired as a maintenance worker at Bernheim Distilling Company. The Kirks last lived here at 1825 Kendall Lane in Shively.
