Mrs. Letitia P. Ebert (nee Mitchell), was born at Bristol, Bucks county, Pa., February 21, 1817. Her parents dying when she was quite young she came to reside with her uncle, the late Major Joel Bailey of Harrisburg with whom she lived until April 16, 1835.
This dates her marriage to Dr. P. Ebert when she brought her, a bride, to Duncannon, then Petersburg, fifty two years ago. They resided in this community for 29 years, when they removed to Crawford County, Ohio.
At this place her death took place on April 10, 1887, at the age of 70 years, 1 month, and 20 days. She leaves an aged hudband and nine children to mourn her loss. The funeral took place in Duncannon on the 13th inst. and the remains interred in the Lutheran cemebery (now Duncannon Union Cemetery) printed in the Duncannon Record, reprinted in Perry County Democrat.
