"Alfred Leo Rattray, 95, of Rapid City, passed away June 12, 2003, at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center LTC in Kalkaska.
He was born April 6, 1908, in Kalkaska County, the son of Milo and Angie (Peck) Rattray.
Alfred married Pearl Parker on April 2, 1935, in Traverse City and she preceded him in death.
Alfred was a farmer, enjoyed the land and everything it produced. He was a resident of the county his entire life. Alfred also loved his family. He was a member of the Kalkaska Church of Christ.
Alfred is survived by his daughter Jeanne and Richard Lee of Kalkaska; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; siblings, Gladys (Donald) Stelzner of Traverse City, Doris (Leonard) Hughey of Mancelona, Leone Brown of Cheboygan, Thelma Brown of Cheboygan, Beatrice Follett of Traverse City, Pauline (Ted) Schaub of Suttons Bay and Harold Rattray of Kalkaska.
Alfred was preceded in death by his wife, Pearl; brother, Willard, and an unnamed baby brother; and sisters Elizabeth, Louise Thornburg, Erma Moyer and Helen Gibbard.
Visitation was Sunday, June 15, at Wolfe Funeral Home. The funeral service was on Monday, June 16, at the funeral home with interment at Evergreen Cemetery.
Memorials may be made on behalf of Alfred to the American Heart Association.
Arrangements were made by Wolfe Funeral Home, Kalkaska."

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Monday, June 16, at Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska, where friends may call on Sunday from 5 to 9 p.m.
Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery."
