Ellis Vermont Bay, 95, of Las Vegas, died March 14, 2007. He was born April 12, 1911, in Junction, Utah. He was a resident of Las Vegas for 60 years. Vermont married Helen Munson, July 26, 1934. He owned a trucking business in Junction, and Marysvale, Utah. He drove a Greyhound bus for 35 years in Las Vegas before retiring. Vermont loved to travel in his RV and loved deep sea fishing, especially in Mexico and the Oregon Coast. He especially loved Moro Bay, Calif. He was a life member of the LDS Church and served his mission in Germany in the 1930s. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. Vermont is survived by his wife, Helen Lee; five children, Maurine Carlisle, Richard Bay, Shauna Anderson, Stephen Bay and Brenda Burdick; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and six great great-grandchildren. Funeral will be at noon Tuesday, March 20, at Davis Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Burial immediately following at Palm Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
