Dallas, Texas - Taylor A. Dickson Jennings Irvin, our caring, brave, and beautiful daughter, wife, niece, cousin, and friend passed away April 20, 2021, after a courageous battle with brain cancer. Taylor was born June 4, 1988, to Kyndall Webster Burroughs and Paul Dickson in Dallas. There are not enough words to sum up the impact Taylor has had on our lives. She will be missed terribly.
Taylor graduated from Fort Worth Country Day School in 2006. She received her bachelor and master's degrees from Texas Christian University where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority. Taylor had a heart for teaching math to middle schoolers and continued to tutor many former students as they learned advanced concepts. She taught at Lakehill Preparatory School, Southlake-Carroll Dawson Middle School, and most recently Good Shepard Episcopal School in Dallas. Taylor loved concerts, craft beer, and all sports. She coached several field hockey and soccer teams and played for the Blue Diamonds, a Dallas women's soccer team.
A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, May 1 at 10 am at The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, 11122 Midway Road, Dallas, Texas 75229. Due to covid restrictions, anyone wishing to attend in person should contact 214-351-6468 to register.
She is preceded in death by her brother Paul and her grandparents Linda and Cecil Blankenship and Lonnie Dickson. She is survived by her parents Kyndall, Paul, and Bryan and Anne Cunningham; her husband Darren Irvin; her siblings Emily Cunningham and Tyler Dickson; her in-laws Maria and Leon Irvin; her grandmother Crystalline Dickson; several aunts and uncles including Kirstin Webster, Joyce and Dale Parks, and James Dickson; and many cousins including Karli Reed, Jennie Parks Butler, and Matt Parks.
