Lamar Mason Cooper, 73, of McRae, died suddenly on Wednesday, November 11. A visitation will be held from 1:00 - 2:00P.M. on Tuesday, November 17 at Macedonia Baptist Church.
A native of Gainesville, Mr. Cooper was the son of the late Aaron Jack Cooper and the late Jimmie Wood Cooper. He was a US Army veteran. Mr. Cooper was employed with the Telfair County Schools for many years, serving as vice principal, principal and holding various positions with the Board of Education.
He is survived by his wife, Vivian Cooper of McRae; brother, Lynn Cooper of Gainesville; adopted daughter, Seiko of Japan, adopted granddaughter, Mei of Japan; and several nieces and nephews.
