Most of their lives were spent living in Lawrence and Barry Counties of Missouri where they raised six children. Sometime between 1910 and 1917, they moved from Missouri to be near their youngest daughter, Rose (Finley) Yerton in Wichita, Kansas, where Alpharetta passed in 1917.
Buried in what is commonly known as a "Potter's Field" area of Highland Cemetery, a search by Don Edwards was unable to locate an existing headstone.
