Philip Edward Ware was born to Jefferson Davis Ware Sr. and Effie Eulalia Denson Ware on May 20, 1893. He was married to Hattie Fae Smith Ware at the time he passed on. He was survived by 3 sons - Robert Lloyd Ware, Jack Davis Ware, Philip Edward Ware Jr. and 4 daughters - Trula Mae, Vera Eulalia, Glynis Louise, Mary LaNelle.

He was also survived by 5 brothers - William Henry Ware, Jefferson Davis Ware Jr., Charlie Rawles Ware, Richard Hamilton Ware, Leonard Lawrence Ware, and 5 sisters - Effie Elizabeth Oliver, Ethel Inez Ussery, Verdie Mae Ensingminger, Winnie Lois Scobey, and Noma Eulalia Lindly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers John Tenon Ware, Alphonzo Denton Ware, George Ernest Ware, Robert Roy Ware, a sister Annie Lee Hanks, and a son David Ware.
