ROBERT LEE ADKINS, 78, of Dundalk, Md., formerly of East Lynn, W.Va., passed from this life Saturday, September 16, 2006, in Baltimore, Md. A son of the late Elbert and Olga Adkins and husband of the late Evelyn Dietrick Adkins, he was preceded in death by a son, Sidney Farver, three grandchildren, three sisters, Blanche Morris, Edith Bennett and Leona Cremeans and four brothers, Orville, Paris B., Cornis and Delmer Ray. He is survived by his loving daughters, Brenda Lee and her husband Billy Kelly, and Dianne Morris; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; five sisters, Opal Strogilos, Vera (Jack) Fox, Louise (Earl) Adkins and Marie Gillespie, Betty (James) Adkins; two brothers, Ollin (Bonnie) Adkins, Ersie (Wilda) Adkins; special nephew Eugene (Emma Ray) Adkins; special niece, Windell Deloach; numerous nieces and nephews; and his best friend, his beloved dog, "Tasha". A life member of Willow Spring Pleasure Club, he retired from General Motors after 30 years of service. Bob will be missed by many, many friends and relatives. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday, September 22, 2006, at Johnson Nichols Funeral Home with Brother Donald Hager officiating. Burial will follow in the Everett Adkins Cemetery. Friends may call after 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
