Willard Lebron Foote, 89, of East Ridge, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 20, 2022 while surrounded by family.
He was a United States Army Ranger and served during the Korean Conflict. Lebron was a master plumber and a member of Cloud Springs Baptist Church. He was also known as the "Mater Man" for selling tomatoes on the corner of Cloud Springs Road and Dietz Road.
Lebron is preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Gail Bools Foote, daughter Lebrondia Moore; parents, Deward and Letha Smith Foote; brothers, Otis and Gene Foote, and sister, Kathleen Hodge.
He is survived by his son, Gregory (Rita) Foote; granddaughters Britany (Stacy) Knight, Becki (Billy) McDaniel, great grandchildren Gage and Parker McDaniel, Abigail, Luke, and Caleb Knight; sister, Cora Bell Heaton; sister-in-law, Alice Sells; close friend Mason Weatherly, as well as his companion of nine years, his dog, Molly.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Thursday, March 24, 2022 in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Bill Gardner officiating. Interment will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
