He was born May 1, 1941, in Gordonsburg, Tenn., the son of William E. and Willie Hensley Roden.
He had retired as a furnace operator at the Thomas Steel Corp., was of the Christian faith and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include daughters, Julie Powell of Warren and Laurie Hanners of Ashland, Ky.; stepdaughters, Tina Clark and Kayla Wilson, both of Ashland, Ky.; brother, Ned G. Roden of Girard; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wives, Roseleen Hunter Roden and Sandra Strong Roden; six sisters; and two bothers.
Services will be announced at a later date in Grayson, Ky.
Burial will be in East Carter County Memory Gardens, Grayson.
Arrangements were handled by the Staton-Borowski Funeral Home.
