Michael J. Tuley, 64, of Columbia, Missouri, passed away Saturday, March 19, 2022, at his home in Columbia.

The son of William P. and Hildegard Wilhelm Tuley was born on June 28, 1957, at Quincy, Illinois.

Michael was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Canton, Mo., and the Knights of Columbus in Columbia, Mo. He served the U.S. Army in the Signal Corps, Ft. Knox, Kentucky. He was a hospital pharmacist at University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia, Mo., St. Mary's Hospital in Jefferson City, Mo., and Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia, Mo. He attended kindergarten in Munich, Germany, graduated from Canton
R-V schools in 1975 and Northeast Missouri State University in 1979 with a degree in communications and drama. Mike also attended UMKC School of Pharmacy and received a Bachelor's degree in pharmacy. He was involved with the Old Ice House Theatre in Hannibal, community theatre in Ft. Knox and the Maplewood Barn Theatre in Columbia. He loved watching sports, especially soccer and Cardinal's baseball. He was an avid gamer.

He is survived by his mother, Hildegard Tuley of Louisiana, Mo.; sister, Barbara Tuley, M.D. of Hannibal, Mo., uncle, Horst Wilhelm of Munich, Germany, an aunt, Rita Giesmann of O'Fallon, MO and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, an aunt, Trudy (Stefan) Kostiuk, and uncles, Robert Tuley and James Elmer Tuley, grandparents Josef and Viktoria Wilhelm, Isabel Danker and John Elmer Tuley.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Sunday, April 10, 2022, at 2:00 PM at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Canton, Missouri, led by Father Callistus Okoroji. Internment will be in Queen of Peace Cemetery at Ewing, Missouri, with Military Honors by Lewis County Memorial Post #578.

Visitation will be held Sunday from 12:30 until the time of services at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Canton.

Memorials may be made to the Queen of Peace Cemetery, the Alzheimer's Association or the Maplewood Barn Theatre.

Honorary pallbearers are: Dave Davis, James Davis, Max Bernhardt, Martin Owens, Mark Abbott, Fred Givens and Sonny Winslow.
