Joseph Gordan Stacey, Sr., 24, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday November 24, 2021. He was born in Syracuse, NY in the summer of 1997 to loving parents, Dennis J. Rice, Sr., and Karla J. (Stacey) Rice. After Joseph received his high school degree, he worked various retail jobs around the Syracuse area. Joey was a very loving son, brother, cousin, friend, and nephew. Most importantly, he was a devoted father of 3 boys and 2 girls. His family was his heart, and he would never give up on them. Joey was always the person telling others to Keep Their Head Up. During his short time on this earth he made many friends, and touched many lives. He will be deeply missed by those who are left to mourn his loss. Along with his parents, he is survived by: siblings, Jaquobb L. Stacey, Sr., Cassie H. Brillbeck, Shannon G. James, Jr., Gabriel A. Cruz-Perea, Michael J. Wade, Jr., Mercedes J. Dodrill, Yahmina A. Tillman, Derrick Carroll, Mahreeh Carroll, Camesia I. Rice, Keasia Rice, Dennis J. Rice, Jr., Rickey T. Rice, and Ricktia J. Rice; his children: Jaevion J., Jamarious C., Jahsionia N., and Joseph G. Stacey, Jr.; god sister, Rcia Adams; many aunts; uncles; and cousins. He is predeceased by his daughter, Jamillionia R. Stacey. An hour of visitation will be held on Wednesday December 8 at 12 Noon, at A. Dewitt Memorial Funeral Home, 4612 S. Salina St., Syracuse. A funeral service will follow at 1 pm; with a procession for burial at Loomis Hill Cemetery.
