Emmet Billings, age 88, of Sun City, Arizona passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 20, 2022. Emmet was born July 2, 1933.
Emmet worked in the grocery industry for 50 years with 39 of those years at Food City working his way up to General Manager. He was an exceptional man who was very devoted to his family. After retirement, he enjoyed his free time oil painting, creating many beautiful works of art. He will long be remembered for his love of family, his kindness and his gentle soul. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Until we see you again in heaven, we love you Dad.
He is survived by his 3 daughters Carrie Billings, Connie Billings, Colleen (Bob) Vaughn, son Fred Billings and 5 grandchildren: Heather (Jeremy) Shoemaker, Kyle Sherwood, Heidi (Peter) Holcomb, Jordan Billings, Alexis Billings, as well as 2 great grandchildren: Daxton and Rhett Holcomb, along with his brother, Wayne (Teri) Billings, sister, Leota Golleher and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Bobbie Billings and daughters Carole and Cathy Billings.
A visitation for Emmet will be held Friday, March 18, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at West Resthaven Funeral Home (6450 W. Northern Ave, Glendale, AZ). A funeral & burial will take place Saturday, March 19, 2022 at 9:00 AM with a catered reception to follow.
