Ebenezer Holbert, when 20 years old, enlisted on 8/8/1862 at Goshen, NY as a Corporal. On 9/5/1862 he mustered into "D" Co. NY 124th Infantry. He was wounded on 5/6/1864 at Wilderness, VA and again on 10/27/1864 at Boydton Plank Road, VA. He mustered out on 6/3/1865 at Washington, DC
Promotions: 1st Sergeant on 7/15/1863, 1st Lieutenant on 6/21/1864 and 2nd Lieutenant on 7/20/1864 (Not Mustered).
