Ray Joe Schwartz, age 90, formerly of Kirkwood, passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at Ecumenical Retirement Community, Harrisburg, PA. Born in Hamilton, TX, he was the son of the late Joe and Catherine Schwartz (nee Smart).
Joe was a career Military Veteran who served 5 years in the US Army and another 35 years between the US Air Force and Air Force Reserves. Joe enjoyed fishing, riding his tractor, and serving his country.
He is survived by a daughter, Cynthia, wife of Christopher Gartman of York and 2 grandchildren; Zachary Gartman of York and Alexandra Gartman of Austin TX.
A viewing will take place on Monday, March 28th, from 5 pm to 6 pm, at Reynolds and Shivery Funeral Home, 144 East State Street, Quarryville. Joe will be interred in the Shive Cemetery, Hamilton, TX.
