She was born on August 25, 1942 to the late Martha and Andrew Johnston. She was a devoted employee of Krispy Kreme of High Point for over 20 years, where she retired in 2014.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband James Marvin Wimmer; her oldest grandson, Christopher Michael; and 10 brothers and sisters, all waiting with open arms to greet her at the pearly gates.
Those left to cherish her memories include her children, Richard Arnold of the home; Douglas (Bonnie) Wimmer of Myakka City, FL; Sheila (Jimmy) Meadows of Princeton, WV, Stanley Wimmer of Lexington, NC, Martha Wimmer of the home; grandchildren, Emmanuel, Tanda, Tiffany, Jamie, Bianca, Malcolm (Nana's loving caregiver), Amber, Thomas, Harley, Chasity and Lexi; 11 great grandchildren; sisters, Myrtle Pannell of Plant City, FL; Mildred Beasley of Jacksonville, FL, a huge host of nieces and nephews; her four legged best friends, "Oreo"; two adopted children, Dougie Meadows and Angie Springs.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Dr. Eddie Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at the Sandlick Cemeterty.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 10:00-11:00 AM at the funeral home.
