Between the hours of ten and eleven o'clock, the accident occurred. His team ran away with him, striking a telegraph pole. Near the residence of Dr. Bellinger, the team broke loose, and ran toward Mohawk. Mr. Bellinger was found lying flat on the bottom of his wagon, with his neck and left shoulder broken. He lived but a few moments.
It appears that he was coming from Mohawk, and at the railroad crossing the team became frightened and unmanageable, turned and ran toward Mohawk. The team was one that has ran away before.
Coroner Batchelder held an inquest and rendered a verdict in accordance with the above facts.
Mr. Bellinger's age was about 45 years. He leaves a wife and one child.
