Janet Mae Kannenberg (nee Adams)

Janet, age 88, went to be with her eternal savior on Monday, March 14, 2022, at Serenity Villa in Slinger. She was born on May 19, 1933, in Wisconsin Rapids to Clarence Otis Adams and Linnie Elizabeth (nee McIntire). She was baptized and confirmed on March 28, 1956, by Pastor Paul J. Burkholz at Siloah Ev. Lutheran Church in Milwaukee. Her confirmation verse was Romans 12:21 "Do not be overcome by evil but overcome evil with good".

Janet married Wilmer A. Kannenberg of Jackson, WI, on May 5, 1956. Janet is a graduate of Lincoln High School of Wisconsin Rapids. She worked at Master Lock in Milwaukee, West Bend Company and Power Products in Grafton in addition to carrying out her household and family responsibilities.

Wilmer and Janet enjoyed many trips with their dear friends Gene and Sandy, card club, camping with family, 7-mile Pinecrest and many family gatherings.

The Lord blessed their marriage with three sons, Ricky, Ronald, and Russell and a daughter, Kathleen Mae.

Janet enjoyed dancing in her younger years, reading her Danielle Steele books, working on her flower gardens. She was loved by many and was the life of the party with a Gin and Tonic in her hands. She loved to sing, "You are My Sunshine".

She is survived by her children, Rick (Lonna) of Wauwatosa, Ronald (Doreen) of Jackson, Russell (Cindy) of Mayville and Kathleen (Brad) Burnett of Neshkoro; her grandchildren, Michelle (Joe), Bridgette (Jordan), Matthew, Levi, Jason, Justin (Alex), Daniel (Kristen), Mikayla (Luke) and Jenna; great-grandchildren, Renee, Justin James "JJ", Russell David "Rooster"; her brother Leeland (Marge) Adams of Vesper, WI; best friend and her sister-in-law Barbara Kannenberg.

Preceding her in death is her husband, Wilmer, her parents, brothers Kenneth, Joseph, Elmer, Raymond, Robert and Lester, sisters Frona "Betty" Perkins, Bernice (infant), Jane Long, Florence Adams, Christine Manke, sisters-in-law Lillian, Marlene Gauger, brothers-in-law Delmer Kannenberg of Trinity in Hillsburg, Bill Gauger, granddaughter Amada and great-granddaughter Ava Rose and niece Amanda.

Janet was loved by so many and has made many friends at Adelaide in Fond Du Lac and Serenity Villa in Slinger. She was blessed to be cared and loved by amazing family at Serenity Villa. We could never thank you enough.
