Laura was pregnant with their seventh child when she died of Typhoid Fever and also the baby in 1903. He then married Matilda Ann (Rapp) Snyder on November 26, 1912, in Wichita, Sedgwick, Kansas. He died on March 22, 1958, in Wichita, Sedgwick, Kansas and is buried in Highland Cemetery in Wichita, Sedgwick, Kansas. Charles was a Church of God minister in Wichita, Sedgwick, Kansas for many years.
