Bruce was a member of the class of 1965 at Stephenson High School.
On August 5, 2000 he married Sue Glaesner at their home in Stephenson.
As a young boy, he would work in the woods to help his family.
He enlisted in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged.
After leaving the Navy he went to work at Milwaukee Hydraulic Products in Milwaukee, Wis. for a short time, but the love of the woods was too great and returned home.
He worked for various loggers in the area. He also tended bar at Camp Shakey for about 10 years.
In 2002, he ventured out in partnership with his brother Chum and began B&C Logging which he worked until he became too ill.
Bruce was on various bowling, softball and hardball teams throughout the years. He loved spending time hunting, fishing, camping, trips to the casino and being in the woods.
He also enjoyed sharing his love of baseball with his grandsons and area youth. For a short time, he coached the Wallace Wildcats Little League Team.
Bruce was also involved with his grandson's state fair animal projects. But most of all, he was an avid supporter of his grandson's sport events and could be heard by many in the stands. Bruce was a straight shooter and wasn't afraid to tell you what was on his mind. However, in a time of need, he would put his aside to help his family, friends and even strangers. He will be deeply missed by many.
