"Mrs. Ada C. McGuire, 64, of 3524 N. Kenwood, died Sunday at a nursing home in Colorado Springs, Colo. She was born in Quinter, Kan., and had lived in this area 37 years. Mrs. McGuire was a member of the Hillside Christian Church and the Quilters Guild. She leaves a son, Clarence L. McGuire of Springfield, Neb.; two daughters, Mrs. Bonnie Stockwell of Green Mountain Falls, Colo., and Mrs. Iva Humphrey of Joplin, Mo.; two sisters, Mrs. Edna Hughes of Topeka and Mrs. Irene Swords of Cameron, Mo.; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Newcomer White Chapel; burial in White Chapel Cemetery." The Kansas City Times, July 8, 1981
