Isidro was born in the Philippines and came to Hawaii in 1946, with his oldest daughter, Segundina "Tina", who's mother was his first wife, Encarnacion Pontila. He was the father of 14 children.

Isidro Cadiente Cacal, 74, of Denton , died July 14, 1995, at Denton Community Hospital . He was born June 16, 1921, in Paniqui, Tarla, Philippine Islands. He married Melinda Rangcapan on Jan. 14, 1983, in Quezon City , Philippine Islands. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Denton. He was a cane unloader for the Kekaha Sugar Mill in Hawaii . He retired June 16, 1984, after 38 years of employment. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. July 22 at St. Teresa Catholic Church in Kekaha , Hawaii by Borthwick-Kauai Mortuary. Pallbearers will be Alfredo Cacal, Roland Cacal, Junicio Cacal, Sonny Cacal, Robert Cacal and Richard Cacal. DeBerry Funeral Directors of Denton is in charge of local arrangements. He is survived by his wife; nine sons, Alfredo Cacal of Union City, Calif., Artemio Cacal of San Jose, Calif., Isidro Cacal of Denton, Junicio Cacal of Hanapepe, Hawaii, Sonny Cacal of Lihue, Hawaii, Robert Cacal of Kekaha, Hawaii, Richard Cacal of Kekaha and Ivan Cacal of Denton; five daughters, Tina Litherland of Bartonville, Angelina Batres of San Jose, Calif., Gloriyan Cacal of Kekaha, Vivian Cacal of Fabro, Kakeha, Hawaii, and JoAnn Lazaro of Kekaha; two brothers, Domingo and Geronimo Cacal of Kekaha; a sister, Estrella Balmucena of the Philippine Islands, 40 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
