She was born Sept. 6, 1911, in Brookfield, the daughter of Patrick and Mary Ellen Clavin Barry. Mrs. Magruder was a housewife, farmer and waitress for Moser's Restaurant in Brunswick. She was a member of St Boniface Catholic Church in Brunswick.
Survivors are a son, Ben A. Mairs of Omaha, Nebraska; a daughter, Sarah Ann Seutter of Kansas City; one sister, Mary Agnes Buffa of Freemont, Illinois; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter; one niece and two nephews. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Ben A. Mairs and Marvin Magruder; and her brothers, Francis Barry and Joseph Barry.
Visitation was held May 31 with a rosary/wake service at Summerville Funeral Home in Salisbury. Mass of Christian Burial was held June 1 at St Boniface Catholic Church in Brunswick. Father Leonard Misey was in charge. Burial was in St Boniface Cemetery."
