James Willie Adams, 58, Elkmont, died at 1:10 p.m. Sunday at his residence after a long illness.
Funeral services were Monday afternoon at the New Garden Pentecostal Church with Dewey Craft, Albert Pope and P.C. Abernathy officiating. Burial was in Antioch Cemetery, Rainey Funeral Home of Ardmore was in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary Adams, Elkmont; four sons, William Adams, Sebring, Fla., David Adams, Floyd Adams and Lloyd Adams, all of Athens; two sisters, Mrs. Mattie Haggermaker and Mrs. Eva Holt, both of Athens; five brothers, Wesley, Emmett, Vester, Edward and Alvin Adams.
