Ninth child of Elijah Worth McMillan, Sr. and Serena Worley of Gordon County, Georgia. Henry was born in June 1847 in Resaca, GA, where his mother died in about 1855. The family moved near Tracy City, TN, where his father Elijah died at the end of the Civil War. From there, Henry served in the Confederate States Army, 5th TN Mounted Infantry. Henry married Margaret Rodgers in Williamson County, TN on 7 Sep 1867. Right away Henry and Maggie moved to Bowling Green, KY, where he worked for the railroad for two decades. In the late 1890s, after raising four children in Kentucky, Henry and Maggie moved to Nashville, TN, living near several of his siblings. At the time of his death on 2 Mar 1903, he was working as a carpenter. Maggie died in 1915 and is buried beside him.
