On November 22, 1963, Lee Bowers was working as a switch operator for the Union Terminal Company in Dallas. He was stationed in a railroad tower near the Texas School Book Depository at the time of President John F. Kennedy's assassination. As portrayed in the movie "JFK," Bowers told the Warren Commission that he saw "some commotion" in the "grassy knoll" area at the moment of the fatal shot that killed Kennedy; however, he was unable to fully describe just what that commotion was. While driving along near Midlothian, Texas in 1966, his car ran off the road and he was killed. Some assassination conspiracy theorists believe Bowers may have been "silenced" by a power or powers unknown because of what he saw on the grassy knoll that day.
