Joe was born on June 16, 1957 in Dyersburg, TN to Willie Mai Ables and the late Burnice Ray Ables. Joe was an assembly worker and worked for Wayne Morphis Farm Equipment and later Snider Equipment.
In addition to his father, Joe was preceded in death by his sister, Tammy Ables.
He is survived by his mother, Willie Mai Ables of Pinson; four brothers, Dennis Ables, Jimmy Ables, William Ables, and Ronnie Ables; sister, Charlotte Ables Woodward; sister-in-law, Betty Ables; his nephews, Cory Ables and Adam Ables; and nieces Joyce Wynn, Lisa Wilkes, Kim Wynn, and Shana Ables.
A graveside service will be conducted on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at Bear Creek Cemetery in Pinson with Tracy Snider officiating.
