He was preceded in death by his parents, Elvis & Mattie Golden Barnett; sisters Maxine, Mildred, Martha and Marian; first wife, Ruby and second wife, Jenny; daughter, Cotina.
He retired from Whirlpool Corp. after 40 working years in the supplies/inventory department. He then spent 20 years delivering the Boonville Standard newspaper. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and bowling.
He is survived by a son, Kevin Barnett, a daughter, Mary Fair (Clifford); five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
A private family viewing will be Tuesday, April 5 at 4:00 p.m. followed by cremation per his wishes. Burial Sunset Memorial Gardens.
