She was born on September 3, 1938 in Muncie, the daughter of Joseph and Delores (Willis) McCafferty and graduated from Muncie Central High School.
On August 31, 1963, she married the love of her life, Bud Quire. They had a happy and loving marriage until his unexpected passing in 1996.
Judy worked in the Southside Cafeteria for over 40 years. Under her watch, no child ever went hungry or was turned away. She continued this loving and generous spirit with her own children, all the neighborhood children and everyone she came into contact with. She was always cooking, attending her boys sporting events and lived out her Christian life by example. She loved Christmas and the holidays, puzzles, the Pacers, the Colts and watching all sports.
She is survived by her three sons, Ron Quire (wife, Michelle), Lee Quire and Kerry Quire (wife, Katie); eight grandchildren, Melinda, Ashley, Joshua, Brandon, Austin, Aaron, James and Kaylee; seven great-grandchildren, Joseph, Cole, Aiden, Emma, Eli, Calvin and Lincoln; special neighbors, Pat and Nancy; and her beloved dog, Barney.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bud on August 10, 1996; her brother, Garry J. McCafferty in 2016; daughter-in-law, Angela Quire in 2019 and one sister-in-law, Barbara Porter.
