LUCY, Kathleen Phillips, 85, of Wilson, died Thursday, September 16, 2010. A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Williams Funeral Home, 410 Windsor Street, Lawrenceville, Va. Mrs. Lucy is survived by two daughters, Debra Lucy Newsome of Wilson, N.C. and Beverly Lucy Parker and husband, Raymond, of Ormond Beach, Fla.; four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth Gerald "Jerry" Lucy. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Emporia Volunteer Fire Department, 309 Halifax Street, Emporia, Va. 23847. Arrangements are by Joyner's Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson N.C. Condolences may be directed to www.joyners.net.
