Nadine was born Aug. 4, 1914, in Kelly, the daughter of Glen L. and Dessie (Hamlin) Britt. On Feb. 13, 1933 she was married to Vernie E. Willett in Manhattan. On Sept. 5, 1934 she came with her husband to El Dorado. She helped run Vern's Sporting goods. He later formed Willett Real Estate. She was a homemaker and a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church. She loved to garden and spend time with Vern on the farm.
Survivors include: one son, Scotty J. Willett of Independence; one daughter, Karilyn Doll of Chase; one sister, Helen Axelton of Manhattan; 10 grandchildren, Terri Huslig, Mick Doll, Cheryl Stegman, Tami Campbell, Martin Doll, Monte Doll, Debora Weve, David Willett, Bret Willett, Eric Willett; 21 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a kind and helpful friend, Pam Smith.
Memorials have been established with either the First United Methodist Church or Home Health Care at Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital. Contributions may be left with Kirby-Morris Funeral Home who is assisting the family with their arrangements. (El Dorado Times, January 15, 2006)
