I never got to meet this my only blood Uncle. My grand father died when I was 7 weeks old and that was the last time Dad ever seen Van , at his fathers funeral. Dad never had a picture of him, so I always wondered what he looked like.My sister and I found his obit but there was no picture with it and his brother and sister were not mentioned. So sad. Dad would never talk about it. I ask him one time why they didn't keep in touch and Dad just said well he always came to see Dad when he was alive but after he died he moved away and we just never seen each other again. Dad looked so sad when he talked about it that I never mentioned it again.
