Mary Elizabeth Wakefield Gedney
Mrs. Gedney Dies; Rites To Be Set
Mrs. Elizabeth Wakefield Gedney, former Peorian and former high priestess of Judea White Shrine here, died Friday morning at Chicago, according too word received here. She was the widow of the late Clarence W. Gedney, formerly of 309 Perry ave.
Mrs. Gedney was making her home with a daughter, Mrs. Henry W. Reath of Chicago, at the time of her death. She is also survived by a son, Edon R. Gedney of Springfield and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers.
She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Eleeta chapter 175 and the Peoria Womens club.
Burial will be in Princeville cemetery and funeral services will be announced later by the Cumerford-Endsley memorial home.
