Dottie grew up at Clifton Baptist Church went to Ahrens Trade High School. She loved to dance and attend the local fish fries at Middletown VFW Post. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and watching Old Cowboy movies.
Beside her husband William James Ernst she is preceded by her son David Ernst, her grand daughter Kimberly Ernst, her grandson Barak Ernst
She is survived by her children Kenny Ernst (Diana), Debbie Riley (Bob), Margaret McCollum (Carolyn), Theresa Mosser (Don), nine grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren
Visitation will be 1-4 pm Sunday at Ratterman Funeral Home, 3711 Lexington Road, St. Matthews. Funeral Service and burial will be 10 am Monday at Calvary Cemetery.
