Gary "Booger Red" Dean Arnold, 72, of California, MO passed away on Monday, April 4, 2022 at St. Mary's Health Center in Jefferson City, MO. He was born on July 22, 1949 in Boonville, MO the son of Dorris Gail Arnold whom preceded him in death and Melva Dean (Hartman) Arnold who survives in Tipton, MO. Gary attended St. Andrew's Catholic School before graduating from Tipton High School in 1967 and also attended State Fair Community College. He was a United States Air Force Veteran and served in the Vietnam War from 1968 – 1969. Gary was united in marriage on September 10, 1971 in Altus, OK to Mary Helen (Prater) Arnold whom survives of the home. He worked for CenturyLink Phone Company as a cable splicer where he retired from after forty years. Gary was a member of St. Andrews Catholic Church in Tipton, MO. He attended the Veterans Honor Flight in 2018. Gary enjoyed mowing, gardening, feeding his birds, tending to his yard, and spending time with his family. Survivors include two sons, one daughter, two brothers, three sisters and ten grandchildren. He is preceded in death by one sister Tana Huddleston; and one granddaughter Lacy M. Arnold. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2022 from 9:00 A.M. – 11:00 A.M. with a Mass Of Christian Burial immediately follow at 11:00 A.M. all at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Tipton, MO. Officiating will be Father Alex Gabriel. Inurnment will be at St. Andrew's Catholic Cemetery at a later date. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society, D.A.V., or Welcome Home of Columbia, MO c/o the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, of California, MO.
