Obituary for Truman Paul Long
Truman Paul Long passed away on April 6th, 2022 at Choctaw Nation Indian Hospital in Talihina, Oklahoma. He was born on October 14th, 1930 in Fleetwood, Oklahoma to Charles Olen and Iona Long. Paul lived in the Talihina area for many years. He moved to Ryan, Oklahoma where he graduated and enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1952. He enjoyed all sports and played miner league for the 49er's and Gold Paners. Before he was honorably discharged in 1956, the Army took him to Alaska where he went to work for the Civil Service for the AirForce and raised his family. He retired in 1986 and moved back to Oklahoma where he met his wife, Patsy and they married on July 7th, 1990. Paul and Patsy moved to Arpelar, OK and lived for ten years. When his grandchildren got old enough to play sports, they moved back to Talihina and lived on a small farm. Paul loved to work on his tractor, garden and do carpentry work. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Paul leaves behind to honor his memory, his wife of the home, Patricia Long; children, Sandra Veronick and husband Kevin Gartner of Corales, OR, Paula Crouse and husband David of Heathsville, OK, Kathy Boren and husband Robbie of Talihina, OK; grandchildren, Donimique Marchant and husband Clay of Lebanon, OR, Trina Crouse of Denver, CO, Sam Crouse of Colorado Spring, CO, Dakota Boren and wife Britney of Red Oak, OK, Kaelin Johnson and husband RY of Buffalo Valley, OK; siblings, Raymond Long and wife Meridith of Brighton, CO, Arline Curtis and husband Herman of Commanche, OK; great grandchilren, Leighton Boren, Langston Boren, and Rhett Johnson; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends.

Paul is preceded in passing by his parents, Charles Olen an Iona Long; siblings, Geneva Norbury, Orville Long, Glenn Long, Geraldine Teague, Eunice Hellekson; great granddaughter, Riley Johnson.

Memorial Services will be announced at a later date.

Cremation Services have been entrusted to McCarn Funeral Service of Talihina, Oklahoma.
