June D. Staten, 97, of Logan, passed away Saturday, April 2, 2022, at the Pickering House in Lancaster. She was born January 3, 1925, in Columbus, Ohio, daughter of the late Ed and Edna Fritz Higgins. June was the widow of the late Charles E. Staten.

She is survived by her son, Charles R. (Cheryll) Staten of Logan; daughter, Linda Jordan of Logan; grandchildren, Michael Staten, Shannon Staten, Lisa (Steve) Castle, Crystal (William) Nye, John (Jennifer) Jordan, Stephanie (Chad) Rosales, Jennifer Arms, Tammy Hatem, Charlie Staten and Ashlee Fast; thirty great grandchildren; twenty great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, June was preceded in death by her sons, William and Robert Staten; daughter-in-law, Mary Jane Staten; son-in-law, John Jordan; granddaughter, Sherri Staten; great great grandson, Xaivier Brown; brothers, John and Robert Higgins and sister, Catherine Dennison.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, April 13, 2022, in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan with Pastor Steve Hubbard officiating. Interment will be held at 2 p.m., in Glen Rest Cemetery in Reynoldsburg, Ohio. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to her caregivers and special friends at the Carlin House and the staff at FairHope Hospice and the Pickering House.
