Lee Potter Jr., of Monroe Georgia passed away on Friday, April 8, 2022. As a World War II Veteran, he served his country as a crew member on the USS Yorktown during World War II in 1944 and 1945. As a young man, Lee enjoyed fishing in Canada, tennis and football. His career was with the Georgia DOT

He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Monroe for many years and served as a member of Lions Club in Monroe, Georgia.

Mr. Potter is survived by his wife, Gloria, his son Gary Potter and wife Amy of Monroe, his son Robert Potter and wife Beverly of Monroe and his son Lee Potter Jr. and wife Sally of Monroe as well as seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
