Florence I. Wheeler, 99, of 314 E. Division St., Kewanee, formerly of the Toulon area, died at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 23, 1992, at her home.

Born Jan. 4, 1893, in Laura to Joseph and Catherine White Gray, she married Lloyd Wheeler on March 25, 1914, in Elyria, Neb. He died Nov. 30, 1968. Five brothers, four sisters, one half sister, one grandson and one great-great-grandson also preceded her in death.

Surviving are one son, Eldon E. of Wyoming; four daughters, Mrs. Floyd (Mildred) Worrell, Mrs. Sheldon (Lois) Headley and Mrs. Dwain (Delabele) Jacobson, all of Kewanee, and Mrs. Glenn (Patsy) Beall of Gurnee; 14 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; five stepgreat-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; and two stepgreat-great-grandchildren.

She and her husband farmed in Nebraska and in Stark County, retiring in 1959. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Kewanee.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Kidd Funeral Home. The Rev. Barry Lovett will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Princeville Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to any charity.
