From the Dallas Morning News....Taylor, Beatrice Ione Goodman, of DeSoto. Born December 3, 1914, in Milford, TX. to Florence Ward and William H. Goodman, and passed away May 25, 2004, at Charlton Methodist Hospital after a brief illness. A graduate of Milford High School and retired from Gaston Episcopal Hospital after a long career in nursing, Bea was known by all for her loving and caring spirit. Member of First United Methodist Church, DeSoto; former member of Brandon Ave. Methodist Church, Oak Cliff. Preceded in death by husband, James L. Taylor, Sr. Survived by son and daughter-in-law, James and Becky Taylor; son Ross Taylor; grandson, Mark Taylor and wife Shelly; granddaughter, Angel Taylor; grandson, Tim Taylor and wife April. Survivors also include great-grandsons Willie, Chase, and Sam; sister, Addis Ruekle; and brother and sister-in-law James and Rose Nell Goodman. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. Vincent Barr and staff and Dr. Rita Phillips and the 3rd floor nursing staff at Charlton Methodist Hospital for their care and support. Graveside services 2:00 P.M., Friday, May 28, 2004, Myrtle Cemetery Ennis, TX. Dr. Bart Smith officiating. Dallas, Laurel Land.
