Krista Rae (Frater) Halderson was born on Jan. 25, 1968, in Madison, Wis., the daughter of Andrew and Betty (Warner) Frater. Krista graduated from Madison East High School in 1986. Both earned bachelor's degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Bart and Krista were united in marriage on July 30, 1994. Krista was an administrative assistant for Zimbrick Automotive. Bart and Krista enjoyed spending time with their two sons, raising their two dogs, Izzy and Rizzo, and hanging out with close friends. They liked going to Badgers football games and Concerts on the Square. They actively supported several community organizations, including the Kiwanis, Boy Scouts of America, the Optimists and UW-Madison Outreach. Bart was an avid golfer and was immersed in home remodeling. Krista enjoyed crafts, cooking and interior decoration. Most importantly, they were devoted parents and loving husband and wife. A private family burial was held at Roselawn Memorial Park.
