Lloyd Bishop, Banker, Is Dead at 78

Lloyd Bishop, 78, Clearwater, officer and director of Clearwater Home State Bank, president and director of Mayfield, Kansas State Bank and vice president and director of Conway Springs, Kan., State Bank, died Tuesday.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Clearwater United Methodist Church.

Born in Conway Springs, he came here in 1931 when he joined the Home State Bank. He was a member of United Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge, York Rite, Midian Shrine, Lions Club and was a director of Sedgwick County Cancer Society.

Survivors include his widow, Evangeline; a daughter, Mrs. Harry Beal; two sisters, Miss Madge Bishop and Mrs. Horace Baker, all of Boulder, Colo.

A memorial has been established with the American Cancer Society.

Webb Mortuary has charge.
