John Boland and Anastasia Murphy had a son named James E. Boland, born 20 Aug 1854. That much is clear. It isn't totally clear to me that this James E. Boland is their son, but I think he probably is based on a number of considerations. Based on a passport application, it is known that he spent time in Cuba and Florida, and this James E. Boland lived in Florida in his later years and had spent time in Cuba, specifically the Isle of Pines, which is mentioned in the aforementioned passport application. The approximate age and place of birth matches in the 1935 Florida Census and the 1940 US Census, where he and Helen were living in Anna Maria, Florida. However, there is a significant discrepancy with the date of birth shown on his grave marker--1854 vs 1868. (See the memorial for Helen F. Boland for a picture of their shared marker.) I have been unable to locate a death certificate or death notice for him.
