She was raised on the north end of Flint and attended Flint Northern High School. She moved to Davison in 1951 with her parents who operated the Davison Hotel in downtown Davison. She became owner of the Davison Hotel in 1973 after the passing of her mother Laura Adams and operated it for many years. Betty especially enjoyed Family gatherings, and loved her family dearly. She was an avid bowler & supporter of many area Bowling, Softball and Dart teams. She loved "Yellow Roses" and playing card games (just like her mother) and reminiscing about the Bar business, Flint, Davison and all family relatives. She also hosted many events at the Hotel including musical entertainment and charitable causes, including the Special Olympics. She is survived by Children: Mark R. Perry, Lynn D. Perry, Michael J. (Betty) Perry, Steven R. Ash, and step-children Barbara McCrea, Kristine (Bill) Cowen, Jeffery (Rose) Ash. Grandchildren: Melissa A. Perry, Audrey L. Zeigler, Joshua M. Perry, Tyler Ash, Rachel McCrea, Eric Payea, Connor Cowen, Weston Cowen and Andrea Ash. Siblings: brothers Garnet Adams, Herbert Adams, Stanford Adams, and sister Doris M. (Adams) Hiller. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Laurie B (Perry) Zeigler, brothers Albert, Arthur, Joseph, Leroy, Donald and Harold, sister Arline L. (Adams) Slusser. Grandsons Mark R. Perry Jr. an Travis Payea.
