During WWII Gert worked at a bomb factory in Mead, Nebraska. She was a wonderful mother, homemaker and farmer's wife. Gert was involved in the Alter Society, was a member of the Legion Auxiliary and was a 4-H leader. She loved gardening and playing in card clubs.
On Thursday, April 14, 2022, Gert was welcomed into the gates of heaven having attained the age of 100 years, 2 months and 11 days. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Goldie; son Stanley; siblings Mildred, Vernon and Dorothy; brothers-in-law Gerald Martin, Darrell Bauerkemper, Laverne Kozisek and Joe Ausdemore; sisters-in-law Ruth Murray and Maude Ausdemore.
