Inman - Marcus "Mac" F. Daugherty Jr., 77, of 581, Windmill Hill Road, died May 5, 1996, in Spartanburg Regional Medical Center, after a long illness.
A native of Inman, he was the son of the late M.F. Daugherty Sr. and Cora Seay Daugherty. He was a member of Holston Creek Baptist Church and was retired from Soil Conservation Service. He was a member of the Air Force Reserves. He was first married to the late Pauline Belue Daugherty.
Survivors include his wife, Anona Spencer Daughtery of Inman; two daughters, Judy Vaughn and Elaine McAbee of Inman; two step daughters, Carolyn Harbin of Myrtle Beach and Diane Pace of Inman; one stepson, Terry Spencer of Inman; two sisters, Geneva Coleman and Estele Spakes of Inman; one brother, Shannon "Bud" Daugherty of Inman; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends at the home following the service.
Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. today in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Revs. Gene Burke and Robert Y. Marchbanks.
Memorials may be made to Inman Community Fire Department, 150 Windmill Hill Road, Inman 29349, or to Inman Rescue 10, No. 6 N. Humphrey St., Inman 29349.
