Bessie Maureen Farley was one of 12 children born to William "Glen" Farley, Sr and Bertha Irene Landreth Farley. She was born on May 24 1934. Her siblings included:
Linda Lou, Peggy Frances, William Glen, Jr (who was only 2 days when he died), Glenna Colleen, Lewis Ray, Ancel "Leroy," Jackie Gene, Jimmie Dean, Buddy Carroll and Patsy Jane.

She married Hurston Bumpas and they had two sons: Mark and David.

She died April 19 1998 in Wichita, Kansas.

Bumpas, Bessie M., 63, retired Delta Dental Plan bookkeeper, died Sunday, April 19, 1998. Service 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Trinity Baptist Church.

Survivors: husband, Hurston; sons, Mark, David, both of Wichita; brothers, Lewis Farley of Branson, Mo., Leroy Farley of Springfield, Mo., Jim Farley, Jack, Bud Farley, all of Neosho, Mo.; sisters, Colleen Rumley of Tulsa, Peggy Long of Neosho, Mo., Linda Reynolds of Fairbanks, Alaska, Patsy Bridges of Stark City, Mo.; two grandchildren. Memorial has been established with Trinity Baptist Church. Broadway Mortuary.
